The experiment's goal was not only to monitor the release of oxygen and the phase transition but also to use patterns formed by oxygen bubbles to get new insight into the kinetics of the process and the formation of solid iodine. To the best of our knowledge, it is the first time that an oxygen bubble pattern obtained by a fast camera has been used to analyze oscillatory system dynamics. |
