Abstract: 
Sorption-desorption isotherms of n-hexane have been measured at 288 and 298 K in zeolites MxNa87-2xX (M = Co, Ni, Zn, Cd) and the corresponding isosteric heats have been obtained. The effect of cations on isosteric heats is highly pronounced at low cowerage, being different for each particular cation. An attempt is made to explain the large differences in those heats in terms of cationic size, charge, electronic configuration, and location in the lattice. © 1992.
