Abstract: 
The influence of the potassium iodate concentration on the hydrogen peroxide decomposition in the Bray-Liebhafsky reaction is analysed by the kinetic observations described in our previous publication. The overall decomposition of hydrogen peroxide in the presence of KIO//3 and H//2SO//4 is found to follow the first order kinetics, not only with respect to hydrogen peroxide, but also with respect to potassium iodate. The rate constant of the process is evaluated.
