This study investigated 2-(acridin-9-ylamino)-3-(1H-indol-3-yl)propanoic acid, acridine derivative as a potential anticancer drug supported on FAU type zeolite Y. Y zeolite before and after the drug impregnation was characterized with the scanning electron microscopy and thermogravimetry, while HPLC/FL and spectrofluorimetry were employed for drug quantification. The morphology of the zeolite did not change during the drug impregnation process, and the resulting drug loading was 17.9 mg/g. The release of 1.2 μM acridine derivative concentration necessary for targeted cancer cytotoxicity and favorable kinetics was established for zeolite-supported acridine.en_US
