Title: | Dissociation of N2 by electron impact in electric and magnetic RF fields | Authors: | Ristić, Miroslav Ranković, Radomir Vojnović, Mirjana M. Stanković, Violeta V. Poparić, Goran B. |
Keywords: | dissociative ionization.;neutral fragments;nitrogen molecule | Issue Date: | 1-Jan-2023 | Journal: | Journal of the Serbian Chemical Society | Abstract: | Rate coefficients for electron impact dissociation of the N2 molecule under the influence of crossed radio-frequency (RF) electric and magnetic fields were calculated for field frequencies of 13.56, 100 and 200 MHz and for root mean square values of the reduced electric field strength of 300 and 500 Td. The root mean square values of the reduced magnetic field were varied from 0 to 2000 Hx. The effects of the strength of the RF fields and their frequency on the rates for the dissociation to neutral fragments and for the dissociative ionization are discussed. The temporal evolution of the rate coefficients during one period of the RF field is shown and discussed. |
