The i.r. absorption spectra of carbon dioxide in the 9-11 μm region have been studied as a function of temperature in a wide range by the laser photoacoustic (PA) method which included CO2-laser as the source of radiation. Obtained spectra were interpreted theoretically by calculating positions, absorption coefficients and integrated intensities of the lines in all considered bands. Temperature dependence of the absorption coefficients for several single lines was extracted from the calculated data and compared to the corresponding experimental PA signal values. Very good agreement between the calculated and experimental data was found. © 1995.en
