Abstract: 
A highly active catalyst for CO oxidation has been obtained by mutual precipitation from dilute solutions of CuSO4, KMnO4, MnSO4 and Na2CO3 calcinated in a vacuum at 280 °C. Having obtained the catalyst in this way, it was tested, together with three other commercial catalysts of different origins, using various physicochemical methods. Differential thermal analysis has shown that only two different general CO-oxidation mechanisms exist.
