The magnetic hysteresis loop was shown to be inverted for perpendicular orientation of the ribbon, in the magnetic field range 10–504 kA/m, as a consequence of ferromagnetic/antiferromagnetic exchange among the various components of magnetization. Magnetic measurements performed using VSM device and Faraday balance revealed that thermally induced microstructural transformations affect significantly the magnetization of the studied material. The best magnetic properties, including saturation magnetization and magnetoimpedance (MI) ratio (MI of 204 %, at f = 7.15 MHz and H = 0 A/m) were achieved for the ribbon having a nanocrystalline structure, annealed at 773 K for one hour. |
