dc.description.abstract | It is shown that the oscillatory decomposition of hydrogen peroxide in low acidity (2.45 × 10-2 mol dm-3 H2SO4) Bray-Liebhafsky systems with a constant initial concentration of potassium iodate (7.35 × 10-2 mol dm-3) and variable initial concentrations of hydrogen peroxide (from approximetely 1 × 10-2 mol dm-3 to approximately 1 × 10-3 mol dm-3) and with temperature ranging from 332 K to 341 K carried out in the well-stirred batch reactor, obeys the rate of the pseudo-first order reaction with respect to H2O2. The energy of activation is found to be (120 ± 20) kJ mol-1. | en |
