Investigations have been undertaken on the catalytic activity of the homogeneous molten mixture V2O5-K2S2O7-K2SO4-Li2SO4 with various molar percentages of V2O5 (0.5; 3.0; 10.0), at temperatures of 515 and 530 °C. It was found that this system may be used as an homogeneous catalytic mixture for the conversion of SO2 to SO3. By using the cyclic voltammetry method, investigations were made of the potentials at which the basic electrochemical reactions of the components taking part in the catalytic oxidation of SO2, take place. © 1981.en
